Custer State Park Tribal Arts Show

Exhibiting the work of Native American artists, this newly-founded annual art show will be held in Custer State Park, a state park and wildlife reserve in the Black Hills of southwestern South Dakota.

Over $3,000 will awarded to winning participating artists. This will be a juried show. Jurors are: Ruth Brennan, Chris Eagle Hawk, and John Day

The Custer State Park Tribal Arts Show is open to all Native American artists who are at least 18 years of age.  There is no entry fee for submissions.  The deadline for entry is December 31, 2008. Click Here to download the application form.

The Art Show and Market will be open to the public during the Park’s FREE Open House Weekend – May 16 & 17, 2009.  An Artist Reception will be held Saturday, May 16 at 6:00 p.m. featuring entertainment by Kevin Locke and Doug Good Feather.

Rooms and cabins at Sylvan Lake Lodge will be available at a special rate for all Art Show participants.  Please check back soon for more details.
